About the Role
Michael Stevens Consulting, an international human resource development and management consulting firm with offices across Nigeria and Ghana, is seeking a dynamic, results-driven Chief Operating Officer. This is an exceptional executive opportunity to take charge of company-wide operations, optimize processes, and translate our strategic vision into flawless execution as we prepare to open new subsidiaries across West Africa.
Key Responsibilities- Oversee day-to-day operations across multiple projects, technical departments, and corporate support functions.
- Translate the CEO's strategic vision into actionable operating plans, measurable KPIs, and sustainable growth targets.
- Drive continuous process optimization, effective cost control, and operational efficiency company-wide.
- Build, mentor, and lead high-performing departmental heads and cross-functional project teams.
- Manage risk, regulatory compliance, and rigorous quality assurance across all engineering and consulting deliverables.
- Report operational performance, organizational health, and key metrics directly to the Board and Executive team.
- Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or a related professional discipline.
- Minimum of 20 years of professional experience, with at least 10 years served in a senior executive operations role.
- Proven track record of success within an engineering, EPC, or technical consultancy environment.
- Strong executive leadership, strategic thinking, and advanced stakeholder management capabilities.
- Comprehensive understanding of project management methodologies, health, safety, and environment (HSE) standards, and quality systems.
