About the Role
PATH, a leader in global health innovation, is seeking a visionary Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to architect our financial resilience and operational excellence following a major institutional transformation. As we enter the PATH 2030 strategic cycle, this newly consolidated role positions you at the center of our global mission to save lives and improve health equity, particularly across Africa and Asia. You will serve as a front-line strategic actor, navigating a shifting global health financing landscape and acting as a credible counterpart to the world's most sophisticated health funders and the Board.
Key Responsibilities- Build a robust financial model featuring scenario-based planning, disciplined reserves, and a diversified funding mix across USG, multilateral, and philanthropic streams.
- Serve as the senior financial counterpart to the Gates Foundation and major partners, ensuring foundation-grade reporting and exemplary compliance with USG requirements.
- Lead Finance, IT, and Continuous Improvement as an integrated agenda to drive enterprise systems modernization and efficiency gains.
- Act as the primary management counterpart to the Board's Finance and Audit committees, equipping leadership with forward-looking risk reporting.
- Lead and mentor a high-performing, globally distributed team across multiple regions and time zones.
- Minimum of 15 years of progressive financial leadership, including executive roles such as CFO or VP of Finance in complex international organizations.
- Deep command of the US regulatory environment for international NGOs, including 501(c)(3), Form 990, and Uniform Guidance (2 CFR 200).
- Direct experience managing financial expectations and reporting for major global health funders like the Gates Foundation, USG, Global Fund, and Gavi.
- Demonstrated success in leading financial transformation, restructuring, and partnering effectively with executive boards.
- Advanced degree in finance, accounting, business, or economics, along with professional certifications like CPA, ACCA, or CIMA.
