About the Role
Kimberly Ryan is recruiting on behalf of a leading financial institution for a dynamic Chief Financial Officer & Head of Strategy. As a key member of the Executive Management Team, you will provide strategic financial leadership and spearhead the institution's evolution into a digitally led microfinance bank. This pivotal role balances rigorous financial control with innovative digital expansion, ensuring sustainable growth across the Nigerian market while adhering strictly to CBN and NDIC guidelines.
Key Responsibilities- Lead the bank's digital transformation initiatives, encompassing digital lending, mobile banking, agent networks, and strategic fintech partnerships.
- Oversee the comprehensive finance function, including budgeting, IFRS reporting, treasury management, capital adequacy, and cost optimization.
- Spearhead capital-raising initiatives and cultivate strong stakeholder relationships with investors, Development Finance Institutions (DFIs), and fintech partners.
- Ensure robust risk management, compliance, and internal controls across both traditional and digital operational channels.
- Define competitive product economics, pricing models, and fee structures aligned with microfinance regulations and customer value.
- Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing Finance and Strategy team, driving talent development and succession planning.
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, coupled with mandatory professional certifications such as ICAN or ACCA (an MBA or Master's degree is a distinct advantage).
- 10 to 15 years of professional experience, including at least 5 years in senior finance or strategy leadership within the microfinance, banking, or fintech sector.
- Comprehensive knowledge of IFRS standards, CBN guidelines, and the broader Nigerian regulatory landscape.
- Proven expertise in financial modeling, Management Information Systems (MIS), Business Intelligence (BI), and digital financial services.
