About the Role

AATA Power Company is an emerging power company focused on the development and operation of a 30MW embedded power generation and mini-grid project in Uyo, Akwa Ibom State, Nigeria. We are seeking a visionary Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to spearhead our financial strategy and capital mobilisation efforts during this exciting pre-operational phase. Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the Company's financial strategy, planning, and performance management.
  • Develop, maintain, and stress-test sophisticated financial models for power and infrastructure projects.
  • Lead fundraising and capital mobilisation, engaging with investors, commercial banks, DFIs, and development partners.
  • Manage project finance structures, funding strategies, and financing plans aligned with IFC standards.
  • Oversee treasury management, cash-flow forecasting, liquidity, and foreign exchange exposure.
  • Provide commercial analysis for tariffs, Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs), and investment decisions.
  • Establish robust financial controls, governance systems, and reporting frameworks.
  • Leverage digital and AI tools for advanced financial modelling, scenario analysis, and business intelligence.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Recognized professional qualification such as ACA, ACCA, CFA, or CIMA is required.
  • MBA or MSc in Finance, Project Finance, or Investment Banking is a strong advantage.
  • Minimum of 10 years of relevant professional experience in senior financial management, project finance, or the energy sector.
  • Demonstrable expertise in financial modelling, capital raising, and DFI/IFC project requirements.
  • High digital and AI proficiency for research, forecasting, and process automation.
