About the Role
Eastern Plains Integrated Farms Limited (EPIFL) is a rapidly growing integrated agribusiness enterprise located in Igbariam, Anambra State, Nigeria, dedicated to delivering high-quality poultry products to households and businesses nationwide. We are currently seeking a hands-on and results-driven Chicken Processing Plant Supervisor to manage our daily poultry processing activities, ensuring strict adherence to safety, hygiene, and productivity targets.
Key Responsibilities- Supervise daily processing operations from live-bird receiving through slaughtering, defeathering, evisceration, chilling, cutting, and packaging.
- Monitor production output, yield, throughput, process efficiency, and minimize operational losses.
- Coordinate processing teams across all sections, promptly resolving bottlenecks and maintaining smooth workflow.
- Enforce strict compliance with food safety, hygiene, biosecurity standards, HACCP, ISO 22000, and regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with Quality Assurance to address audits, non-conformances, and quality issues.
- Oversee processing equipment and utilities, rapidly escalating breakdowns to maintenance teams.
- Plan shift rosters, manpower allocation, and workforce deployment to meet production demands.
- Train, supervise, and mentor plant operators and attendants to optimize performance and discipline.
- Manage waste disposal and effluent management in alignment with environmental standards.
- HND or Bachelor Degree in Animal Science, Food Science & Technology, Poultry Science, Meat Science, or a related field.
- Minimum of 4 years of proven experience in poultry or food processing operations, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
- Comprehensive practical knowledge of poultry slaughtering, processing, and plant hygiene.
- Strong working knowledge and certifications in HACCP, GMP, and food safety standards.
