Key Responsibilities
  • Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and comprehensive Chemistry lessons in accordance with the approved national and secondary school curriculum.
  • Develop robust lesson plans that incorporate practical laboratory experiments, critical thinking exercises, and real-world applications of chemical principles.
  • Assess, monitor, and record students' progress, providing constructive feedback and targeted support to ensure academic success.
  • Manage classroom behavior effectively to foster a safe, inclusive, and conducive learning environment for all students.
  • Prepare students adequately for internal examinations as well as major external assessments such as WAEC, NECO, and UTME.
  • Participate actively in parent-teacher conferences, departmental meetings, school events, and continuous professional development programs.
Qualifications
  • Possession of a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry, Bachelor of Education in Chemistry, or a closely related discipline from a recognized tertiary institution.
  • Minimum of 2 years of proven teaching experience handling Chemistry at the high school level.
  • Sound knowledge of current Nigerian secondary school science curricula and modern pedagogical approaches.
  • Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and classroom management skills with a genuine passion for youth development.
  • TRCN registration or certification is an added advantage.
