Key Responsibilities- Deliver engaging and comprehensive lectures on video editing theory, techniques, and industry-standard software to aspiring media professionals.
- Design and update practical curriculum modules that reflect current trends in Nigerian and global film, television, and music video production.
- Guide students through hands-on editing projects, providing constructive feedback to enhance their technical and creative skills.
- Assess student performance through practical examinations, assignments, and portfolio reviews.
- Mentor students and prepare them for successful internships and career opportunities within the vibrant Nollywood and broader media landscape.
- Collaborate with fellow faculty members to organize film screenings, workshops, and institutional events.
- Possess relevant academic qualifications in Mass Communication, Theatre Arts, Film Production, or a related field.
- Demonstrated professional experience as a video editor in the film, television, or broadcast industry.
- Proficiency in industry-standard editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, and DaVinci Resolve.
- Strong passion for teaching, mentoring, and imparting knowledge to diverse groups of learners.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
- Previous teaching or training experience in an academic or vocational institution will be an added advantage.
