About the Role
Elevation Professionals, a reputable management consultancy and publishing firm, is seeking a qualified and passionate Chemistry Teacher to join a client organization based in Ipaja, Lagos. This role is ideal for an experienced educator who is dedicated to fostering a love for science and helping students achieve academic success.
Key Responsibilities- Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging Chemistry lessons in line with the curriculum
- Develop lesson plans, assignments, and assessments to evaluate student progress
- Create a positive and interactive learning environment that encourages student participation
- Conduct practical laboratory sessions while ensuring safety protocols are strictly followed
- Monitor and assess students' academic performance, providing constructive feedback
- Prepare students adequately for internal and external examinations
- Maintain accurate records of attendance, grades, and academic progress
- Collaborate with other teachers and school management to improve teaching strategies and student outcomes
- Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding student performance when required
- Bachelor's degree or HND in Chemistry, Education, or a related field
- Relevant teaching certification or qualification is an added advantage
- Proven experience teaching Chemistry at the secondary school level
- Strong knowledge of the Nigerian education curriculum and examination standards (WAEC, NECO, JAMB)
- Excellent communication, classroom management, and interpersonal skills
- Passion for teaching and mentoring young students
- Must currently reside in or around Ipaja, Lagos, or be willing to commute conveniently
