About the Role

In this role, you will play a pivotal part in shaping the academic success of our senior secondary students by fostering a stimulating and engaging learning environment that encourages scientific inquiry and critical thinking.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality Chemistry lessons aligned with the Nigerian secondary school curriculum.
  • Prepare Senior Secondary School students thoroughly for external examinations including UTME (JAMB), WAEC (WASSCE), and NECO.
  • Assess, monitor, and record students' progress, providing constructive feedback to support academic improvement.
  • Create a safe, inclusive, and well-managed laboratory environment for practical chemistry experiments and demonstrations.
  • Engage parents and guardians regularly regarding student performance, behavioral development, and overall academic growth.
  • Participate actively in school extracurricular activities, departmental meetings, and continuous professional development programs.

Qualifications
  • Possess a minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Education with Chemistry, or a closely related discipline.
  • Demonstrated teaching experience ranging from 1 to 5 years specifically at the senior secondary school level.
  • Proven track record of successfully preparing students for UTME, WAEC, and NECO examinations with excellent pass rates.
  • Strong command of the English language with exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency in modern educational technology and interactive teaching methodologies.
  • Possession of a teaching certification (TRCN) is an added advantage.
