About the Role
Tehillah School, a reputable Christian nursery and primary educational institution located in Independence Layout, Enugu, is seeking a passionate and dedicated Mathematics Teacher to join our esteemed academic team. Since our establishment in September 2010, we have been committed to providing holistic, high-quality education from early childhood through Grade 6. We are looking for an enthusiastic educator who can make mathematics engaging, accessible, and enjoyable for young learners while upholding our core Christian values.
Key Responsibilities- Plan, prepare, and deliver well-structured mathematics lessons tailored to nursery and primary grade levels (up to Grade 6).
- Foster a positive, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment that encourages student participation and critical thinking.
- Assess and monitor student progress regularly, providing constructive feedback and targeted support to struggling learners.
- Maintain accurate records of student attendance, performance, and grades in accordance with school policies.
- Collaborate with fellow teachers and school administration to develop and enhance the mathematics curriculum.
- Communicate effectively with parents regarding student academic development and behavioral progress.
- Participate in school-wide extracurricular activities, staff meetings, and professional development programs.
- Possess a relevant academic qualification in Education, Mathematics, or a related field (NCE, B.Ed, B.Sc).
- Proven teaching experience within a nursery or primary school setting.
- Strong command of primary mathematics concepts and modern pedagogical teaching methods.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and classroom management skills.
- A strong alignment with the Christian ethos and values of Tehillah School.
- Residency in or willingness to commute to Independence Layout, Enugu, Nigeria.
