About the Role
KNOSK N100/25cents A-Day Charity Secondary School is seeking a dedicated and passionate Chemistry Teacher to join our mission of providing quality secondary education to children from the poorest households and underserved communities. We are committed to breaking the cycle of generational poverty by enabling students, particularly girls, to access and complete secondary school education that opens doors to further education and sustainable livelihoods.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver engaging and effective chemistry lessons aligned with the Nigerian secondary school curriculum
- Develop and implement innovative teaching strategies that cater to diverse learning styles
- Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that fosters critical thinking and scientific inquiry
- Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback to support academic growth
- Integrate technology into lessons to enhance learning outcomes
- Collaborate with colleagues to support the school's educational objectives
- Mentor and inspire students to develop a passion for science
- Bachelor's Degree (B.Ed., B.Sc./B.A. with PGDE or equivalent) in Chemistry or related field
- Minimum 1 year of secondary school teaching experience (preferred)
- Strong classroom management and professional communication skills
- Comprehensive knowledge of the Nigerian secondary school chemistry curriculum
- Ability to integrate technology into teaching practice
