About the Role
TAAS College, a reputable co-educational institution established in the Islamic tradition in Ibadan, is seeking a passionate and qualified Chemistry and Biology Teacher to join our esteemed academic team. Key Responsibilities- Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and comprehensive Chemistry and Biology lessons in accordance with the approved curriculum.
- Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback and targeted support to enhance academic performance.
- Create a stimulating, safe, and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation and critical thinking.
- Conduct practical laboratory sessions, ensuring adherence to safety protocols and procedures.
- Participate in departmental meetings, school events, professional development workshops, and extracurricular activities.
- Maintain accurate records of student attendance, grades, and behavioral development.
- Collaborate effectively with colleagues, school administration, and parents to support student welfare and continuous improvement.
- Possession of a Bachelor of Education (B.Ed), B.Sc with PGDE, or equivalent relevant academic qualification in Chemistry, Biology, or related science education fields.
- Proven teaching experience handling secondary school Chemistry and Biology with a track record of excellent student outcomes.
- Demonstrated professionalism, integrity, strong work ethic, and excellent communication skills.
- Strong organisational, problem-solving, and interpersonal abilities to work collaboratively within a team.
- A strong passion for education, student welfare, and safeguarding children in alignment with high ethical standards.
- Relevant professional teaching certifications and a teaching license will serve as a distinct added advantage.
- Competitive monthly salary ranging from N85,000 to N120,000.
