About the Role
Dangote Group is seeking a dedicated and skilled Chemical Engineer (CCR Operator) to join our dynamic team in Lagos, Nigeria. In this critical role, you will oversee various sections of our advanced production lines from the Central Control Room (CCR), ensuring maximum precision, safety, and adherence to quality standards in our cement manufacturing operations.
Key Responsibilities- Monitor and control all sections of the plant process lines from the CCR to ensure stable equipment operation, employee safety, and compliance with environmental regulations.
- Provide timely information, direction, and feedback to shift coordinators, engineers, patrollers, and field operators regarding production status and potential trouble spots.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot operating problems independently or in consultation with the engineering team to ensure rapid resumption of optimal production.
- Accurately log process data at specified intervals, document operational activities, and prepare detailed, concise shift reports.
- Supervise casual staff to maintain clean conveyor belts free from jamming and ensure that daily cement and clinker production targets are consistently met.
- Continuously review plant automation systems and recommend process improvements based on industry-leading practices.
- Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Chemical and Processing Engineering or a closely related technical discipline.
- Minimum of 2 years of hands-on working experience in a relevant plant operations or CCR role, preferably within heavy manufacturing or cement production.
- Strong analytical, diagnostic, and troubleshooting skills with a solid understanding of industrial automation systems.
