About the Role
The Dangote Group, Africa's leading diversified business conglomerate, is seeking a skilled and driven Chemical Engineer to join our operations as a Central Control Room (CCR) Operator in Lagos, Nigeria. In this critical role, you will play a vital part in maintaining the seamless operation of our large-scale manufacturing facilities, ensuring safety, precision, and efficiency in cement production.
Key Responsibilities- Monitor various sections of the production line from the Central Control Room to ensure precision and adherence to quality standards.
- Provide real-time information and direction to field operators and patrollers in liaison with shift coordinators.
- Monitor and control plant process lines to ensure stable equipment operation, employee safety, and environmental compliance.
- Log process data at specified intervals, documenting and reporting operational activities accurately.
- Ensure smooth operations of the crusher, raw mills, kilns, and cement mills through constant feedback and guidance.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot potential operating problems independently or in consultation with engineers and shift coordinators.
- Continuously review the plant automation system and recommend improvements based on industry best practices.
- Prepare detailed operational reports and supervise casual staff to maintain clean and jam-free conveyor belts.
- Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Chemical and Processing Engineering or a related discipline.
- Minimum of 2 years of relevant working experience in a manufacturing or industrial processing environment.
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills with a solid understanding of plant automation systems.
