About the Role
Sunrise Universal Integrated Supermarket, a dynamic subsidiary of the Bond Group of Companies located in Ibadan, Oyo State, with diverse business interests spanning supermarkets, pharmacies, eateries, and arcades, is seeking a meticulous and driven Account Officer. In this role, you will play a crucial part in maintaining financial integrity, monitoring daily transactions, and ensuring seamless accounting operations across our retail ecosystem.
Key Responsibilities- Assist in the preparation of accurate financial statements and management accounts.
- Maintain comprehensive and up-to-date accounting records for all business transactions.
- Perform daily reconciliation of all sales proceeds, covering both cash and electronic payments, to verify transaction correctness.
- Conduct regular on-the-spot assessments of cashiers to guarantee absolute accuracy in daily transactions.
- Perform routine weekly stock reconciliations and inventory audits.
- Monitor and record daily sales lodgments efficiently.
- Possession of an HND or B.Sc. degree in Accounting or a related discipline.
- Minimum of 2 years of proven working experience in a similar accounting role.
- Strong proficiency in utilizing accounting packages such as Tally and Microsoft Office applications.
- Exceptional attention to detail, strong analytical capabilities, and excellent record management skills.
- Ability to execute assigned duties efficiently with minimal supervision.
