About the Role
The Center for Humanitarian Impact and Development (C-HID) is seeking a dedicated and passionate CFM Assistant to join our growing team in Nigeria. In this role, you will be instrumental in ensuring robust accountability to affected populations by managing community feedback, complaints, and inquiries. C-HID is committed to empowering communities for sustainable growth, and your expertise will directly contribute to the transparency, effectiveness, and inclusivity of our humanitarian interventions across health, WASH, livelihoods, and protection.
Key Responsibilities- Support the seamless implementation and daily operations of the Community Feedback Mechanism (CFM) across project locations.
- Receive, document, categorize, and diligently follow up on all community complaints, feedback, questions, and assistance requests.
- Provide clear, accurate, and timely information to community members regarding programme activities, eligibility criteria, entitlements, and available services.
- Handle sensitive and confidential complaints with utmost discretion, ensuring proper referral through established institutional channels.
- Maintain accurate, up-to-date CFM records and support the production of timely, comprehensive activity reports.
- Conduct community sensitization sessions to raise awareness about available feedback mechanisms, reporting channels, and accountability standards.
- Minimum of a Bachelor's degree, HND, or equivalent qualification in Social Sciences, Development Studies, Public Administration, Communication, or a related humanitarian field.
- Previous experience in community engagement, Community Feedback Mechanisms (CFM), accountability, protection, or general humanitarian programming is highly desirable.
- Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills, with exceptional attention to detail and documentation abilities.
- Unwavering commitment to humanitarian principles, accountability, social inclusion, and deep respect for affected populations.
- Demonstrated integrity, professionalism, and strict adherence to organizational policies, Codes of Conduct, safeguarding, PSEA, anti-fraud, and anti-corruption requirements.
- Familiarity and local knowledge of Gujba and/or Buni Yadi will be considered a significant advantage.
