About the Role
BethâNeills Playhouse & Preschool is a premier faith-based early childhood education center dedicated to providing exceptional care and learning experiences for young children. Located in Calabar, Cross River State, our institution creates a nurturing environment where children are empowered to play, learn, and develop at their individual paces under the visionary leadership of CEO Lucy O'Neill.
Key Responsibilities- Design and deliver engaging, developmentally appropriate lessons aligned with curriculum standards
- Create a safe, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment that supports individual child development
- Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback to parents and guardians
- Foster social-emotional development and encourage positive peer interactions
- Collaborate with colleagues and parents to support holistic child development
- Maintain detailed records of student achievements and developmental milestones
- Uphold the school's faith-based values and ethos in all interactions
- Bachelor of Science (B.Sc) or Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) degree
- National Certificate in Education (NCE) or equivalent teaching qualification
- Valid Teachers Registration Council of Nigeria (TRCN) certification
- Proven experience teaching primary school students
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Commitment to continuous professional development
- Strong understanding of child psychology and early childhood education
