About the Role
Ascentech Services Limited is currently recruiting a skilled Cath Lab Technician to join a leading healthcare facility in Nigeria. In this critical healthcare role, you will provide expert technical support during cardiac catheterization and interventional procedures, ensuring the safe and optimal operation of specialized imaging, monitoring, and cardiovascular equipment.
Key Responsibilities- Operate and support advanced Cath Lab imaging and haemodynamic monitoring systems during daily procedures.
- Assist medical professionals seamlessly during coronary angiography, PCI, pacemaker/CIED, and other complex interventional cardiac operations.
- Prepare, test, and effectively troubleshoot all Cath Lab equipment prior to patient interventions.
- Ensure strict compliance with established radiation safety protocols and clinical quality assurance standards.
- Coordinate equipment maintenance, servicing, and repairs with Biomedical Engineering and OEM teams.
- Collaborate closely with cardiologists, specialized nurses, and multidisciplinary clinical staff.
- Support equipment commissioning, performance testing, and comprehensive user training initiatives.
- Bachelor's Degree, HND, or relevant professional qualification in Cardiac Technology, Biomedical Engineering, Radiography, Medical Imaging, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 to 5 years of dedicated, hands-on experience working within a Cath Lab and interventional cardiology environment.
- Demonstrated expertise with fluoroscopy, angiography, and advanced haemodynamic monitoring.
- Prior experience assisting with PCI and pacemaker/CIED procedures is strongly preferred.
- Comprehensive knowledge of radiation safety standards, equipment troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, and QA processes.
