AMO Farm Sieberer Hatchery Limited, a market leader in the Nigerian day-old chicks and poultry sector, is looking for a dedicated and skilled Breeder Veterinary Doctor to join our dynamic team. In this vital role, you will safeguard the health, welfare, and productivity of our breeder flocks, directly contributing to our mission of delivering exceptional poultry farming solutions across the nation.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and execute comprehensive breeder flock health programs, monitoring mortality, morbidity, and overall production performance.
- Design and oversee robust vaccination schedules, disease surveillance, and precise diagnostic interventions.
- Enforce strict biosecurity protocols, conduct regular risk assessments, and train farm personnel on disease prevention.
- Analyze key production indicators such as fertility, hatchability, and feed consumption in collaboration with hatchery teams.
- Maintain accurate veterinary records, ensure compliance with animal welfare regulations, and prepare detailed periodic reports for management.
- Supervise veterinary assistants and provide continuous technical guidance to farm staff.
- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree from a recognized institution.
- Valid and current registration with the Veterinary Council of Nigeria (VCN).
- 3 to 5 years of hands-on experience in poultry veterinary practice, specifically within breeder operations.
- Demonstrated expertise in poultry disease diagnosis, biosecurity management, and data-driven performance analysis.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel for data tracking and reporting.
- Strong leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills with high attention to detail.
