Key Responsibilities- Prepare and cook meals in accordance with established nutritional standards, dietary requirements, and hygiene protocols.
- Assist in the planning and execution of menus for daily mess operations and special military events.
- Maintain cleanliness, sanitation, and safety standards in the kitchen, dining, and food storage areas.
- Manage food inventory, monitor stock levels, and report shortages or equipment maintenance needs promptly.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff and stewards to ensure timely and professional food service delivery.
- Possession of the Senior Secondary School Certificate (SSCE) or equivalent with at least 5 credits, including English Language and Home Management or Food and Nutrition.
- A relevant catering certificate or proven professional experience as a waiter, steward, or cook will be considered a strong advantage.
- Strong interpersonal skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively under pressure in a structured environment.
- Must meet all physical, medical, and background screening requirements mandated by the Nigerian Navy.
