Key Responsibilities
  • Support the development and execution of category strategies for production, maintenance, and engineering materials and services.
  • Contribute to project procurement strategies for construction and facilities procurement aligned with corporate timelines.
  • Identify, qualify, and manage local and international suppliers meeting technical and Nigerian Content (NOGICD) requirements.
  • Negotiate and administer contracts for mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, and civil engineering goods and services.
  • Collaborate with internal engineering and operations teams to understand technical specifications and facility needs.
  • Monitor supplier performance, track metrics, and implement corrective actions to ensure reliability.
  • Conduct market research, cost benchmarking, and financial analysis to optimize spending and facilitate bids.
  • Ensure strict compliance with procurement policies, HSE standards, and NOGICD Act obligations.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Instrumentation & Control, Civil Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in engineering procurement within the upstream oil and gas industry.
  • Postgraduate qualification (MSc/MBA) or professional certifications such as CIPS, APICS, or PMI are an advantage.
  • Familiarity with ERP procurement systems like SAP or Oracle and asset integrity planning.
  • Strong knowledge of cost engineering, commercial negotiation, and regulatory compliance.
