About the Role
Robeck Locks Ltd, a trusted importer and distributor of stylish, durable, and affordable architectural hardware since 2001, is looking for a dedicated Cashier/Sales Assistant to join our Ipaja branch. In this vital role, you will be the friendly face at our point of sale, ensuring seamless checkout experiences, accurate financial documentation, and exceptional service for our diverse retail and construction clients.
Key Responsibilities- Process customer payments accurately across various channels including cash, POS terminals, and bank transfers.
- Issue valid receipts and maintain meticulous daily documentation of all sales transactions.
- Reconcile the cash register at the beginning and end of each working shift to ensure balance and accountability.
- Collaborate closely with the broader sales team to expedite checkout operations and reduce customer wait times.
- Handle customer inquiries professionally and resolve transaction discrepancies promptly.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming cashier area and shop floor environment.
- Minimum of SSCE or OND in Accounting, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
- At least 1 year of proven work experience functioning as a cashier, teller, or in a similar retail role.
- Prior retail or hardware store experience will be considered a strong added advantage.
- Exceptional numerical aptitude alongside high-level accuracy and attention to detail.
- Proficiency in basic computer operations and familiarity with modern POS payment systems.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and teamwork skills built on absolute integrity and trustworthiness.
