We are currently looking for a detail-oriented and professional Cashier to join our front-of-house team and ensure seamless financial transactions for our valued guests. Key Responsibilities- Receive and process payments accurately including cash, POS card transactions, and direct bank transfers.
- Issue correct receipts and appropriate change to customers promptly.
- Operate the electronic Point of Sale system efficiently for all food and beverage orders.
- Balance the cash drawer meticulously at the start and end of each shift.
- Reconcile daily sales reports and immediately report any discrepancies, shortages, or overages to management.
- Handle customer inquiries, feedback, and payment-related issues with utmost politeness and professionalism.
- Maintain a clean, organized, secure, and sanitized cashier station throughout working hours.
- Coordinate seamlessly with waiters and servers to ensure a smooth flow of orders and payments.
- Strictly adhere to all company cash-handling procedures, security protocols, and internal policies.
- Assist with basic front-of-house duties and guest services during quieter operational periods.
- Minimum of a Senior Secondary School Certificate or Ordinary National Diploma in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- At least 1 to 2 years of proven work experience as a Cashier, preferably within the hospitality, restaurant, or café industry in Abuja.
- Demonstrated proficiency in operating POS systems and basic accounting software.
- Exceptional numerical skills and high attention to detail with cash management.
- Outstanding communication, interpersonal, and customer service abilities.
- Ability to remain calm, professional, and efficient in a fast-paced environment.
