About the Role
Brent Supermarkets, the premier retail chain of the BRENT GROUP, is looking for a dedicated and customer-focused Cashier to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be the friendly face of our store, playing a crucial part in maintaining our high standards of customer satisfaction by handling daily transactions smoothly and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities- Greet customers warmly and manage checkout processes using the point-of-sale (POS) system with speed and accuracy.
- Handle cash, credit card, and electronic payment transactions securely and reconcile daily cash drawers.
- Scan goods, accurately apply discounts or promotional offers, and bag items properly for customers.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and secure checkout counter area at all times.
- Address customer inquiries, resolve minor complaints politely, and escalate issues to management when necessary.
- Assist with inventory checks and stock arrangement at the checkout counters as needed.
- Minimum of OND, SSCE, or relevant academic qualification from a recognized institution.
- Proven work experience as a retail cashier or in a similar customer-facing role is an added advantage.
- Exceptional numerical skills and high attention to detail.
- Outstanding communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills.
- Ability to remain calm and professional in a fast-paced retail environment.
- Basic computer literacy and familiarity with POS systems.
