About the Role
Villa Park Hotels and Suites is a premier luxury destination known for exceptional service, privacy, and elegance. Located in a secure and serene environment in Lagos, we are dedicated to redefining hospitality standards. We are currently seeking a professional and trustworthy Cashier to join our front office and finance team. In this role, you will be the face of our financial transactions, ensuring that every guest experiences a seamless and courteous checkout process while maintaining absolute precision in our records.
Key Responsibilities- Receive cash, card, and bank transfer payments from guests, issuing accurate receipts promptly.
- Confirm approved prices, incidental charges, and overall payment statuses before closing any transaction.
- Operate the hotel billing software and POS terminals efficiently while managing an accurate cash float.
- Balance daily cash and electronic collections against end-of-shift sales reports.
- Report financial discrepancies immediately and follow strict hotel handover procedures.
- Respond politely and professionally to guest billing inquiries while safeguarding sensitive financial and personal information.
- Minimum of an SSCE; an OND in Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field is an added advantage.
- At least 1 year of proven cashiering experience within the hospitality, restaurant, or retail sector.
- Strong numerical proficiency, basic computer literacy, and familiarity with POS systems.
- High level of personal integrity, honesty, and exceptional attention to detail.
- Outstanding customer service and communication skills.
- Flexibility to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays as required by hotel operations.
