We are currently seeking a reliable and honest Cashier to join our dynamic team and manage daily payment processing at our Adeola Odeku, Victoria Island office in Lagos.
Key Responsibilities- Receive and process cash, POS, bank transfers, and other customer payments accurately.
- Record all sales transactions promptly and issue appropriate receipts.
- Balance cash and POS terminals at the end of each shift with high precision.
- Maintain clear, organized records of daily sales and payment reconciliations.
- Provide polite and helpful assistance to customers with payment-related enquiries.
- Ensure the cash register and immediate work area are kept clean, secure, and organized.
- Report any financial discrepancies or transactional irregularities immediately to the supervisor.
- Provide administrative support for other front-office or store activities as required.
- Adhere strictly to company policies, internal controls, and procedures for cash handling and customer service.
- Minimum of an Ordinary National Diploma (ND) in Accounting, Business Administration, Finance, or a related discipline.
- Proven previous work experience as a cashier or in a similar customer-facing transactional role is an added advantage.
- Strong numerical aptitude and exceptional record-keeping skills.
- Proficiency in operating POS terminals and handling physical cash securely.
- Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal customer service skills.
- High level of personal integrity, honesty, and attention to detail.
- Ability to thrive and maintain accuracy in a fast-paced environment.
- Must reside in or be willing to commute to Adeola Odeku, Lagos.
