About the Role
Najec FMCG Limited is a trusted and established leader in the distribution and supply of Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) across Nigeria. We are currently seeking a detail-oriented and trustworthy Cashier to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing daily sales collections, processing customer payments efficiently, and ensuring the accurate recording and reconciliation of all funds. Key Responsibilities- Receive and accurately process cash, POS, bank transfers, and other customer payments while issuing proper receipts.
- Balance cash drawers and reconcile payment records at the end of every business day.
- Prepare comprehensive daily sales and cash collection reports for management.
- Identify, investigate, and promptly report any cash discrepancies, shortages, or payment issues.
- Safeguard cash, POS terminals, receipts, and sensitive financial documents in your custody.
- Support the Accounts and Finance team with relevant sales data and documentation.
- Maintain strict confidentiality regarding company and customer financial information.
- Adhere strictly to internal controls and company policies relating to cash handling.
- Minimum of OND, HND, or BSc in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Previous work experience as a Cashier, Accounts Assistant, or POS Officer is an added advantage.
- Prior experience in the FMCG, retail, wholesale, or distribution sector is highly preferred.
- Proficiency in basic computer applications and Microsoft Excel.
- Exceptional numerical, reconciliation, and record-keeping skills.
