About the Role
Benin Medical Care is a world-class healthcare facility located along Adesuwa Grammar School Road in the heart of Benin City. Since our commissioning in November 2019, we have been committed to delivering exceptional general and specialist medical services to individuals and families. We are currently seeking a dedicated and trustworthy Cash Officer to oversee the efficient functioning of cash units across Benin Medical Care and BMC Diagnostics Limited while providing essential analytical support to our Finance and Accounting Department.
Key Responsibilities- Confirm daily sales receipts across various payment channels including POS, bank transfers, and cash.
- Conduct physical cash confirmations and make secure bank deposits promptly.
- Maintain secure custody of all proceeds from daily cash sales, including weekends and public holidays.
- Process guest refunds and manage the accurate redeposit of funds into in-patient and commercial bank accounts.
- Handle internal guest transactions requiring appropriate back-office authorization.
- Prepare comprehensive daily, weekly, and monthly financial reports, including receivables and debt status.
- Track the payment and debt status of HMOs and corporate guests in collaboration with the billing office.
- Monitor kitchen sales, manage related cash deposits, and reconcile receipts with the head of the kitchen.
- Maintain and update the monthly income register while systematically filing sales receipts for audit and reference purposes.
- Demonstrated proficiency in cash handling, cash reconciliation, and financial record keeping.
- Exceptional numerical accuracy with a keen eye for detail.
- Familiarity with POS and modern payment processing systems.
- Strong computer literacy and proficiency in financial software or MS Office.
- High level of integrity, accountability, confidentiality, and compliance with financial controls.
