About the Role
Pinnacle Oil & Gas Ltd is a leading indigenous company operating across the entire downstream value chain of the Nigerian petroleum sector, specializing in trading, marketing, distribution, and retail. We are currently seeking a diligent and reliable Cash Officer to join our dynamic team at the Makurdi Service Station. Reporting directly to the Treasury Manager, the successful candidate will play a pivotal role in maintaining financial integrity, ensuring accurate cash handling, and supporting daily retail operations.
Key Responsibilities- Collect, count, record, and promptly bank all daily cash sales generated at the service station.
- Ensure the utmost safety and secure safekeeping of all physical cash collected on the premises.
- Prepare accurate daily and monthly POS reconciliation reports to verify the receipt of expected funds.
- Monitor fuel attendants closely to facilitate timely cash mop-ups on the forecourt and mitigate financial risks.
- Manage station petty cash disbursements efficiently and process applications for prompt replenishment and reimbursement.
- Respond to POS chargeback emails promptly by collating and providing necessary supporting documentation.
- Perform any other treasury or administrative tasks as may be assigned by management from time to time.
- Possession of a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) or Higher National Diploma (HND) in Accounting.
- A recognized professional accounting qualification such as ACA or ACCA will be considered a distinct advantage.
- Demonstrated professional experience of 2 to 3 years in a similar or directly related cash management role.
- Exceptional attention to detail with high levels of accuracy in data entry and financial record keeping.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the proven ability to collaborate effectively within a diverse team setting.
