About the Role
The Youth and Women Peacebuilding Foundation (YAWP Foundation) is a dynamic Nigerian non-profit organisation dedicated to fostering sustainable peace, economic self-reliance, and social cohesion among vulnerable communities, youth, and women in conflict-affected regions. We are currently seeking a dedicated Administration and Account Officer (Volunteer) to maintain robust financial management systems and ensure smooth day-to-day office operations. This role is vital for supporting our administrative, logistical, and accounting needs while ensuring strict compliance with internal controls and local regulations.
Key Responsibilities- Manage daily financial transactions, including petty cash disbursements, vouchers, and bank reconciliations using accounting software.
- Process monthly payroll, compute statutory deductions such as PAYE and pension, and handle timely remittances.
- Execute transparent procurement processes, secure competitive vendor quotes, and maintain accurate inventory asset registers.
- Coordinate travel logistics, vehicle dispatch, and venue arrangements for field missions and staff movements.
- Support office administration by overseeing facility maintenance, utility payments, and maintaining comprehensive HR and archive files.
- Bachelor's degree or HND in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in financial management, administration, or operations, preferably within the NGO sector.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage) and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong knowledge of local labor and tax laws, budgeting, and financial compliance.
- Exceptional organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills with high ethical standards and confidentiality.
