About the Role
Chabash Development and Health Initiative (CDHI), a leading NGO working in close partnership with SEMA, NEMA, and humanitarian committees, is seeking a dedicated Cash for Asset Field Assistant to support WFP-backed resilience projects in Jakusko LGA, Yobe State. In this role, you will play a critical part in empowering local communities through labor-intensive asset creation, ensuring seamless project execution, safety compliance, and transparent aid delivery.
Key Responsibilities- Mobilize, register, and organize target beneficiaries into effective Cash-for-Work groups across project communities in Jakusko LGA.
- Provide daily on-site supervision for labor groups engaged in asset creation, infrastructure works, and agricultural support activities.
- Maintain accurate daily attendance records, labor logs, and digital verification files to facilitate timely cash disbursements.
- Manage the safe distribution, maintenance, and secure storage of tools, equipment, and personal protective equipment.
- Ensure adherence to PSEA and safeguarding policies, creating a safe, transparent, and respectful working environment for all participants.
- Bachelor's degree or Higher National Diploma (HND) in Social Sciences, Agriculture, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2 years of field experience in Cash-for-Work, Cash-for-Assets, or community infrastructure projects within humanitarian settings.
- Familiarity with WFP cash transfer protocols, beneficiary targeting, and digital data collection tools like KoboToolbox or SCOPE.
- Professional fluency in English and strong verbal proficiency in Hausa.
