About the Role

Chabash Development and Health Initiative (CDHI) is a dynamic non-governmental organization working closely with government bodies and humanitarian committees to deliver impactful resilience projects in Nigeria. We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Protection / CRM Officer to join our team in Jakusko, Yobe State, under the WFP-supported Integrated Food System and Resilience Project.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct continuous protection and safety risk assessments across all project sites including Cash-for-Work construction and distribution points.
  • Establish, operationalize, and maintain transparent, safe, accessible, and confidential Complaints and Response Mechanisms.
  • Log, classify, investigate, and route community feedback according to established CDHI and WFP standard operating procedures.
  • Map existing GBV service providers in Yobe State, establishing clear survivor-centered referral pathways and training project staff.
  • Monitor beneficiary targeting processes to ensure equitable access and non-discrimination against vulnerable groups.
  • Serve as the field-level technical lead for enforcing CDHI and WFP zero-tolerance policies on Sexual Exploitation, Abuse, and Harassment.
  • Deliver protection, child safeguarding, human rights, and CRM usage training to field staff, committees, and local partners.
  • Track protection metrics, maintain confidential databases, and produce monthly accountability reports.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor degree or HND in Protection, Human Rights, International Law, Social Work, Psychology, Sociology, Development Studies, or related field.
  • Minimum of 3 to 5 years of professional experience managing protection, accountability, CRM, or human rights interventions in Northeast Nigeria.
  • Deep expertise in Protection Mainstreaming frameworks, Do-No-Harm principles, IASC guidelines, and WFP AAP frameworks.
  • Professional fluency in English and Hausa with strong familiarity with the cultural dynamics of Jakusko LGA.
  • Exceptional active listening, survivor-centered communication, and confidential case-handling skills.
