About the Role
O.K. Isokariari & Sons Nigeria Limited, a leading Engineering, Procurement and Construction company with over 45 years of excellence, is seeking a skilled Carpenter / Mason Foreman to join our dynamic construction team in Nigeria. You will play a pivotal role in supervising site operations, maintaining high craftsmanship standards, and driving project success.
Key Responsibilities- Supervise the fabrication, erection, alignment, and dismantling of formwork, shuttering, and scaffolding for foundations, columns, beams, and slabs.
- Direct all masonry operations including block-laying, plastering, screeding, tiling, and structural partitioning to ensure precision and stability.
- Allocate daily tasks, set production targets, and lead site workforces including carpenters, masons, and laborers.
- Manage material resources efficiently, minimizing waste for timber, cement, blocks, and aggregates while overseeing hand and power tools.
- Enforce strict Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) protocols across all active construction zones.
- Maintain accurate daily progress logs and report milestones, material needs, or site bottlenecks to the Site Engineer.
- Minimum of 5-8 years of hands-on supervisory experience in carpentry and masonry on major construction projects.
- OND, Trade Test Certificate, or equivalent vocational qualification in Building Technology or related fields.
- Demonstrated expertise in reading architectural and structural drawings.
- Strong leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills with a commitment to workplace safety.
