About the Role
Sagar Vitaceuticals Nigeria Limited, a leading household name in the Nigerian pharmaceutical industry and manufacturer of trusted brands such as Vitaclox, Vitacillin, and Vitamox, is looking for a skilled professional to join our dynamic production team. Operating from our ultra-modern manufacturing facility in Ikeja, Lagos, we are committed to producing safe, effective, and affordable healthcare solutions. We are currently seeking a dedicated and technically proficient Capsule Filling Operator to drive our manufacturing excellence and ensure the seamless production of essential pharmaceutical products.
Key Responsibilities- Operate, monitor, and troubleshoot modern capsule filling machines and associated production equipment efficiently.
- Ensure compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and company standard operating procedures (SOPs) at all times.
- Conduct routine quality checks on finished capsules to verify weight, appearance, and integrity against strict standards.
- Perform regular cleaning, minor maintenance, and sterilization of machinery to maintain optimal hygiene and operational readiness.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date production logs, batch records, and output reports.
- Collaborate closely with the quality assurance and maintenance teams to promptly resolve any technical or compliance issues.
- Adhere strictly to workplace safety regulations and maintain a clean, organized working environment on the factory floor.
- Minimum of a Senior Secondary School Certificate (SSCE), Ordinary National Diploma (OND), or relevant technical certification.
- Proven, hands-on experience working as a capsule filling operator within a recognized pharmaceutical manufacturing environment.
- Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to operate, adjust, and troubleshoot new pharmaceutical production machinery.
- Solid understanding of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), safety protocols, and quality control standards.
- Excellent attention to detail, good hand-eye coordination, and strong problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced team environment and manage shift schedules efficiently.
