About the Role
CredPal is an innovative financial technology company transforming consumer credit by simplifying loan approvals and enabling seamless everyday purchases through flexible payment plans. We are expanding our financial operations and seeking a highly analytical, market-driven Capital Markets Analyst to support investment research, trade execution, portfolio monitoring, and comprehensive market intelligence in the Nigerian financial ecosystem.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct rigorous market, company, and securities research across equities, fixed income, FX, and SEC-approved asset classes to identify high-yield investment opportunities and mitigate market risks.
- Analyze stocks and investment instruments utilizing financial statements, advanced valuation models, market data, and macroeconomic indicators to deliver actionable investment recommendations.
- Execute and support capital market trades strictly in alignment with approved investment strategies, exposure limits, pricing parameters, and internal controls.
- Monitor the company's proprietary investment portfolio daily, tracking mark-to-market valuations, exposures, gains, losses, and overall performance against defined benchmarks.
- Prepare detailed valuation, pricing, and financial analyses for capital market transactions ensuring full compliance with internal and regulatory frameworks.
- Monitor credit, liquidity, operational, and settlement risks, ensuring prompt escalation of significant market exposures or policy breaches.
- Maintain effective working relationships with regulatory bodies, banks, brokers, custodians, and counterparties to support seamless trade settlement and market intelligence gathering.
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Banking & Finance, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
- Minimum of 4 years of proven experience within the Nigerian capital markets, asset management, securities trading, treasury, or investment banking environment.
- Deep understanding of Nigerian capital market operations and regulations, including SEC, NGX, FMDQ, and CBN guidelines.
- Possession of or progress toward relevant professional qualifications such as CFA, CIS, ACA, ACCA, or holding an active SEC Sponsored Individual registration.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, financial modeling, data analysis, and professional presentation preparation.
