Key Responsibilities- Identify, visit, and onboard prospective merchants through targeted field engagement, strategic referrals, and local trade community outreach.
- Educate business owners on Moniepoint’s robust suite of products, recommending solutions that align with their operational and growth objectives.
- Achieve and consistently exceed monthly targets for active merchant onboarding, POS terminal deployment, loan disbursements, and repayments.
- Oversee end-to-end merchant onboarding, guaranteeing accurate KYC documentation and strict compliance with operational SOPs and regulatory guidelines.
- Build and nurture long-term relationships with merchants to foster account activity, high transaction volume, and exceptional customer retention.
- Conduct transparent discussions regarding pricing, terms, and agreements within established company guidelines to establish trusted partnerships.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for merchant inquiries, resolving operational issues promptly or escalating complex needs appropriately.
- Gather valuable local market intelligence and competitor activity, delivering actionable feedback to leadership to refine regional growth tactics.
- Maintain accurate pipeline records and submit timely field performance reports utilising CRM tools.
- Possess a Bachelor’s Degree, Higher National Diploma (HND), or Ordinary National Diploma (OND) from a recognised tertiary institution.
- Demonstrate 2 to 4 years of hands-on sales experience, ideally within the banking, fintech, payment services, or fast-moving commercial sectors.
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding performance targets in merchant onboarding, field sales, or client acquisition roles.
- Deep understanding of the Nigerian financial services landscape, regional trading dynamics, and local business ecosystems in Kwara.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and customer relationship management skills.
- Practical experience with POS terminal deployment, payment acquiring, or business loan products.
- Proficiency in CRM software for field tracking, pipeline management, and activity reporting.
