About the Role

We provide merchants with essential payment, banking, credit, and business management tools to help them succeed. We are currently looking for a results-driven Business Relationship Manager to drive business growth, expand our merchant footprint, and introduce tailored financial solutions to local businesses across Anambra.

Key Responsibilities
  • Identify, visit, and onboard prospective merchants through field engagement, referrals, and local trade community outreach.
  • Educate business owners on Moniepoint’s suite of products, recommending solutions that match their operational and growth goals.
  • Achieve and exceed monthly targets for active merchant onboarding, terminal deployment, loan disbursements, and repayments.
  • Oversee end-to-end merchant onboarding, ensuring accurate KYC documentation and strict adherence to operational SOPs and regulatory guidelines.
  • Build and nurture long-term relationships with merchants to encourage account activity, high transaction volume, and ongoing retention.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for customer queries, resolving issues promptly or escalating complex operational needs appropriately.
  • Gather local market intelligence and competitor activity, providing actionable feedback to help refine growth tactics.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree, HND, or OND from a recognised tertiary institution.
  • 2 to 4 years of hands-on sales experience within banking, fintech, payment services, or commercial environments.
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding targets in merchant onboarding, field sales, or client acquisition.
  • Deep understanding of the local financial services landscape and regional trading dynamics in Anambra.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and customer relationship management skills.
  • Practical experience with POS terminal deployment, payment acquiring, or business loan products is a strong plus.
