About the Role
Olam Agri is a market-leading, differentiated food, feed, and fiber agri-business with a global origination footprint and deep market expertise. We are currently seeking an experienced Business Planning & Investment Analyst to assess the technical, operational, and commercial viability of establishing a new groundnut processing facility in Nigeria. In this pivotal role, you will take charge of the project from concept to recommendation, conducting thorough market research, financial modelling, and risk assessments to drive our strategic growth.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct comprehensive market research covering demand, pricing, competitors, and trends for groundnut oil and related products.
- Assess potential sources, availability, and logistics of groundnut raw materials across the region.
- Evaluate processing technologies, plant capacity, production configurations, and necessary infrastructure.
- Develop detailed CAPEX and OPEX estimates alongside robust financial models including ROI, IRR, and NPV.
- Identify key project risks and formulate effective mitigation strategies.
- Prepare a comprehensive business plan, investment case, and final go/no-go recommendation for executive stakeholders.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Economics, Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Agribusiness, or a related discipline.
- Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in feasibility studies, project development, investment analysis, or manufacturing projects.
- Strong expertise in financial modelling, commercial analysis, and cost estimation.
- Familiarity with the Nigerian agricultural or food processing sector, including local regulatory and market conditions.
- Exceptional analytical, report-writing, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
