About the Role
Christian Aid is seeking a dynamic and experienced Business Development Manager to lead institutional fundraising efforts across our West and Central Africa Multi-Country Cluster. In this pivotal role, you will secure multi-million-pound grants, forge strategic partnerships with major donors, and drive our regional development strategy to alleviate poverty and address systemic challenges.
Key Responsibilities- Meet institutional income targets at the Multi-Country Cluster level, aligning with overall divisional goals.
- Build and cultivate strategic partnerships with government bodies, multilateral agencies, foundations, and institutional donors.
- Lead the development of high-quality funding proposals, multi-million-pound budgets, and successful grant bids.
- Collaborate with regional teams to establish robust funding pipelines and identify emerging opportunities.
- Ensure compliance, accountability, and seamless program onboarding in coordination with delivery teams.
- Proven track record in securing multiple multi-million-pound grants for NGOs and managing large institutional portfolios.
- Substantial expertise in leading multi-discipline bid teams, project design, and developing complex budgets.
- Advanced knowledge of the donor funding landscape, humanitarian programming, and emerging financing models.
- Demonstrated experience in building high-level donor relationships at global, regional, and country levels.
- Fluent in both spoken and written English with exceptional communication and negotiation skills.
