About the Role

Food Health Systems Advisory (FHSA) is a premier management consulting and business advisory firm specializing in strategy, food policy, nutrition, agriculture, health, and climate. We provide high-impact advisory and technical services to philanthropic foundations, international organizations, donors, governments, non-profits, and corporations. We are currently expanding our commercial team and looking for a relentless, results-oriented Business Development Associate to drive revenue growth across our specialized food value chain services, including training, audits, research, and product development.

Key Responsibilities
  • Drive aggressive revenue growth by identifying, pursuing, and closing high-value B2B deals across the food, agribusiness, and institutional sectors.
  • Promote and sell FHSA advisory services to corporates, SMEs, MSMEs, hospitality brands, hospitals, schools, and government institutions.
  • Originate new business opportunities through cold calling, strategic outreach, referrals, networking, and direct meetings.
  • Develop compelling commercial proposals, pitch decks, and tailored service offers that address specific client needs.
  • Manage and nurture a robust sales pipeline, converting qualified leads into long-term paying clients.
  • Collaborate with internal technical teams to design client solutions and ensure seamless service delivery alignment.
  • Represent FHSA at key industry events, trade fairs, and stakeholder forums to build brand visibility.
  • Consistently meet and exceed monthly and quarterly revenue targets.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Economics, or a related discipline.
  • 3 to 5 years of proven B2B business development or sales experience, ideally within consulting, FMCGs, QSRs, hospitality, or institutional sectors.
  • Demonstrated expertise in proposal writing, cold outreach, pipeline management, and deal closing.
  • Strong professional network within Northern Nigeria and deep understanding of the regional market.
  • Exceptional negotiation, communication, and relationship-management skills.
  • High level of resilience, self-motivation, and a relentless drive for revenue generation.
