About the Role
PalmPay is building a revolutionary ecosystem to provide millions of customers with the best choice and value in digital and financial services. We are currently seeking energetic, results-driven, and field-ready Business Developers to join our growing Pay With Transfer (PWT) team in Lagos, Nigeria. In this role, you will be instrumental in expanding our merchant network, deploying innovative payment solutions, and empowering local businesses with seamless digital transaction capabilities.
Key Responsibilities- Identify, target, and acquire high-potential merchants and businesses within assigned commercial markets across Lagos.
- Successfully deploy and activate Business Account Numbers and Pay With Transfer solutions for qualified business owners.
- Consistently achieve and exceed daily and weekly targets for merchant acquisition, deployment, activation, and transaction volume.
- Build and maintain strong, lasting relationships with merchants through proactive post-onboarding engagement and support.
- Explore emerging commercial hubs and identify strategic opportunities for merchant growth, network expansion, and market penetration.
- Minimum qualification of SSCE or OND.
- 0 to 1 year of professional experience in sales, business development, field marketing, merchant acquisition, or customer-facing roles (comprehensive training is provided).
- Prior experience in fintech, agency banking, POS operations, payments, or merchant acquisition is a distinct advantage.
- High comfort level with intensive field work, outdoor networking, and meeting ambitious performance targets.
- Must currently reside in Lagos Island, Lagos Mainland, Eti-Osa, Apapa, Amuwo-Odofin, Kosofe, Shomolu, or Surulere.
