About the Role
PalmPay is building a dynamic digital ecosystem that provides millions of customers with the best choice and value in financial services. We are currently seeking energetic, results-driven, and ambitious Business Developers to join our growing Pay With Transfer (PWT) team in Nigeria. In this exciting field-based role, you will play a pivotal part in expanding our merchant network by identifying prospective businesses, onboarding them onto our platform, deploying innovative Business Account Numbers and Pay With Transfer solutions, and actively driving daily transaction volumes.
Key Responsibilities- Identify, prospect, and acquire new merchants and businesses within assigned markets and territories.
- Deploy and successfully activate Business Account Numbers and PWT payment solutions for qualified merchants.
- Consistently drive and achieve daily merchant acquisition, deployment, activation, and transaction targets.
- Build and maintain strong, lasting relationships with merchants to ensure continuous post-onboarding engagement and high retention rates.
- Explore new geographical markets and identify viable opportunities for merchant growth and business expansion.
- Collaborate closely with team leads to report on market feedback, competitor insights, and daily field performance.
- Minimum of an SSCE or OND qualification from a recognized institution.
- 0 to 1 year of hands-on experience in sales, business development, field marketing, merchant acquisition, or customer-facing roles. Comprehensive training will be provided to successful candidates.
- Prior working experience in fintech, agency banking, POS deployment, payments, or merchant acquisition will be considered a strong added advantage.
- Must be highly comfortable with intensive field work, outdoor networking, and consistently meeting daily or weekly performance targets.
