About the Role
COOPI - Cooperazione Internazionale is an independent humanitarian organization fighting poverty and supporting populations affected by emergencies. We are currently seeking a dedicated Business and Community Mobilizer to join our team in Bade LGA, Yobe State, driving impactful community-level interventions.
Key Responsibilities- Lead community mobilization, participant registration, and sensitization on project objectives across target communities.
- Support the establishment and strengthening of Producer Marketing Organizations (PMOs) with inclusive governance.
- Provide Business Development Services, entrepreneurship training, coaching, and mentorship to local farmers and youth entrepreneurs.
- Facilitate market and financial linkages by connecting participants with financial institutions, savings groups, and grain banks.
- Promote digital registration, improved agricultural practices, post-harvest handling, and value-addition techniques.
- Ensure gender mainstreaming, inclusion of vulnerable groups, and effective community feedback mechanisms.
- Maintain accurate records, collect field data using digital tools like Kobo/ODK, and prepare regular activity reports.
- Higher National Diploma or University Degree in Agriculture, Business Administration, Community Development, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2 years of proven professional experience in community engagement, outreach, or business development.
- Fluency in English and Hausa (and/or relevant local languages spoken in Bade LGA) is essential.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, teamwork, and conflict-sensitive programming skills.
- Familiarity with digital data collection tools and humanitarian reporting standards.
