About the Role
Ericsson, a global leader in communications technology and services, is looking for a dedicated BSS Integration Engineer to join our dynamic team in Nigeria. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in analyzing, preparing, implementing, and verifying the configuration and integration of critical network nodes, cloud software systems, and telecommunications infrastructure. You will handle new product introductions, system upgrades, capacity changes, and complex legacy environment migrations, ensuring seamless connectivity and optimal performance for our major telecom operator clients across the region.
Key Responsibilities- Participate in planning and executing product configuration, integration, and migration activities across telecommunications environments.
- Prepare and execute rigorous system, module, and acceptance testing to ensure solutions meet strict technical and customer requirements.
- Apply comprehensive end-to-end technical understanding across BSS, OSS, cloud, and modern telecom infrastructures.
- Support scripting, coding, and automation initiatives using DevOps tools to streamline the delivery lifecycle.
- Implement advanced data pipelines and work with data lakes and analytics platforms like Databricks and Snowflake.
- Provide reliable post-project technical support, troubleshooting, and follow-up activities.
- Contribute to pre-sales activities, including technical pre-studies, solution assessments, and effective cross-functional knowledge sharing.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Technology, Telecommunications, Computer Science, or a related field.
- 3 to 5 years of proven experience within a telecom vendor or operator environment, focusing on Business Support Systems (BSS), cloud software, and data analytics.
- Strong proficiency in Red Hat Linux system administration, IP networking, IP security, and databases like PostgreSQL and Oracle.
- Solid understanding of 3GPP charging architecture, mobile technologies (2G/3G/4G/5G, VoLTE, IMS), and TM Forum standards.
- Hands-on experience with automation tools such as Ansible, GitOps, or similar DevOps technologies.
- Familiarity with modern machine learning and generative AI platforms such as Amazon Bedrock, Copilot, or Claude.
