About the Role
Unified Payment Services Limited (UP®) is Nigeria's premier Payments and Financial Technology company, founded in 1997 by a consortium of leading banks. We operate as a vital shared infrastructure for the Nigerian banking community, striving to be the most preferred e-payment service provider across Africa. We are currently looking for a dedicated Domestic Switching Specialist to ensure high system availability, timely incident resolution, and smooth transaction processing across our platforms.
Key Responsibilities- Lead technical integration and onboarding of clients and financial institutions onto UP Exchange platforms.
- Configure, test, and troubleshoot APIs, payment integrations, and transaction flows.
- Utilize SQL and PostgreSQL to analyze transaction data and resolve complex discrepancies.
- Troubleshoot Linux-based applications, infrastructure logs, Docker, and Nginx environments.
- Take ownership of technical incidents, conduct root-cause analysis, and ensure resolution within SLAs.
- Conduct UAT, regression, and technical testing for new services and APIs.
- Collaborate with development, product, and infrastructure teams to improve system reliability.
- Mentor junior analysts and maintain comprehensive technical documentation and SOPs.
- BSc Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in technical support, payment technology, or digital banking.
- Strong expertise in REST APIs, JSON, HTTP/HTTPS, and API testing tools like Postman.
- Proficiency in SQL/PostgreSQL for transaction data analysis and reporting.
- Solid understanding of Linux environments, Docker, Nginx, and application deployment processes.
