About the Role
Bass 99.3 FM, Osogbo's premier commercial radio station known for the slogan Where Entertainment Meets Humanity, is seeking a dedicated and technically proficient Broadcast Engineer to join our dynamic team. In this pivotal role, you will ensure the seamless daily operation of our broadcasting infrastructure, from studio mixing consoles to high-power radio transmitters, supporting our mission to deliver top-tier entertainment and information to listeners across Osun State and beyond.
Key Responsibilities- Install, configure, test, and maintain studio equipment, transmitters, antenna systems, and audio processors.
- Conduct routine preventive maintenance and rapid troubleshooting of hardware and software issues to minimize broadcast downtime.
- Monitor audio levels, signal quality, and transmission compliance with regulatory standards set by the National Broadcasting Commission (NBC).
- Provide real-time technical support for live on-air broadcasts, studio recordings, and outside broadcast (OB) events.
- Collaborate with producers, presenters, and IT staff to upgrade studio infrastructure and integrate modern digital broadcasting tools.
- Maintain comprehensive logs of technical operations, equipment repairs, and maintenance schedules.
- Bachelor's Degree or HND in Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field.
- Minimum of 2 to 4 years of hands-on broadcast engineering experience within a commercial radio station or media environment.
- Deep understanding of RF transmission systems, audio routing, IP codecs, and automation software.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and availability to respond to emergency technical faults outside standard working hours.
- Familiarity with NBC broadcasting regulations and safety protocols.
