About the Role

Victory Empowerment Centre is seeking a dynamic and results-driven Branch Manager to lead our branch operations in Nigeria. In this pivotal role, you will champion our mission of financial inclusion by utilizing our proven group lending methodology. You will guide self-selected groups through basic social and economic indicators, ensuring seamless access to financial services and fostering sustainable economic growth within the community. We are looking for a visionary leader who can inspire branch staff, manage risk effectively, and cultivate strong relationships with our clients to achieve strategic organizational objectives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee day-to-day branch operations, ensuring efficiency, high productivity, and adherence to company policies and procedures.
  • Drive the execution of the group lending methodology, ensuring proper group formation, self-selection processes, and adherence to social and economic indicators.
  • Manage the entire credit lifecycle, including loan portfolio quality, disbursement, monitoring, and effective recovery strategies.
  • Lead, mentor, and motivate branch staff to achieve performance targets and maintain high standards of customer service.
  • Develop and implement local marketing and outreach strategies to expand the branch's client base and increase market share.
  • Prepare accurate financial and operational reports for senior management on a regular basis.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal risk management frameworks.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor Degree or HND in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, or any related discipline.
  • 5 to 10 years of proven experience in microfinance, banking, or financial services, with a strong background in group lending.
  • Demonstrated leadership experience in managing branch operations and leading high-performing teams.
  • Exceptional interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a keen eye for risk management.
  • Proficiency in using banking software and Microsoft Office Suite.
