We are currently seeking a dynamic and analytical Branch Accountant to oversee financial controls, maintain reliable branch books, and ensure operational efficiency at our branch location.
Key Responsibilities- Maintain accurate branch financial books in Odoo, performing daily checks, reconciliations, and comprehensive month-end close activities.
- Reconcile daily sales, cash, POS, and bank transactions while monitoring lodgements, settlements, and refunds.
- Manage customer and supplier balances, oversee ageing reports, and handle accounts receivable and payable reconciliations.
- Reconcile stock records, monitor inventory transfers and returns, and support physical stock counts while investigating variances.
- Support budgeting, forecasting, P&L reviews, and pricing margin analysis to drive informed commercial decisions.
- Ensure strict compliance with company accounting policies, statutory regulations, and internal audit processes.
- Utilize Odoo ERP and advanced Excel proficiency for robust financial reporting and process improvements.
- Collaborate effectively with operations teams, escalate financial exceptions promptly, and support junior finance staff.
- B.Sc. or HND in Accounting, Finance, or a closely related discipline with a minimum of Second Class Lower or Upper Credit.
- Minimum of 3 years of progressively responsible accounting experience, preferably within stock-intensive retail, distribution, consumer electronics, or FMCG sectors.
- Demonstrated expertise in cash and bank reconciliations, AR/AP management, month-end closing, and audit support.
- Active professional-study pathway with ICAN, ACCA, or ANAN is strongly preferred.
- Practical experience using Odoo or comparable ERP systems, alongside advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
