About the Role

We are currently seeking an experienced and dedicated Branch Accountant to oversee the financial operations and controls at our assigned branch, digital center, or hub, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and seamless business performance.
Key Responsibilities- Maintain accurate branch financial books in Odoo, executing daily checks, rigorous reconciliations, and comprehensive month-end close activities.
- Reconcile daily sales, cash, POS, and bank transactions while actively monitoring lodgements, settlements, refunds, and cash variances.
- Manage customer and supplier balances, oversee ageing reports, process invoices, handle GRNs, and drive timely collections and reconciliations.
- Reconcile stock records, transfers, returns, and adjustments while supporting periodic stock counts and investigating inventory variances.
- Support budgeting, forecasting, P&L reviews, pricing, and margin analysis to identify and explain significant financial trends.
- Ensure strict compliance with internal accounting policies, statutory tax requirements, and audit processes.
- Leverage Odoo ERP and advanced Excel proficiency for financial reporting, data analysis, and process optimization.
- Provide guidance to junior finance team members and collaborate closely with operations to resolve exceptions promptly.
- Bachelor's degree (B.Sc.) or Higher National Diploma (HND) in Accounting, Finance, or a closely related discipline with a minimum of Second Class Lower or Upper Credit.
- Minimum of 3 years of progressively responsible accounting experience, preferably within stock-intensive retail, distribution, consumer electronics, or FMCG sectors.
- Demonstrated expertise in sales, cash and bank reconciliation, accounts receivable/payable, month-end close, and inventory financial control.
- Progress towards professional certification such as ICAN, ACCA, or ANAN is considered a strong advantage.
- Hands-on practical experience using Odoo or comparable ERP systems alongside advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
