About the Role
Sagar Vitaceuticals Nigeria Limited, a leading name in the Nigerian pharmaceutical industry known for trusted brands like Vitaclox and Vitamox, is seeking a dedicated Blistering Machine Operator for our ultra-modern factory in Ikeja, Lagos. In this role, you will be responsible for operating, monitoring, and maintaining blister packaging equipment to ensure our quality healthcare products are packaged accurately and safely.
Key Responsibilities- Set up, operate, and adjust blister packaging machines according to daily production schedules and batch records.
- Perform thorough line clearances before and after production runs to prevent product mix-ups and cross-contamination.
- Verify packaging materials such as PVC, aluminum foil, cartons, and leaflets prior to commencement.
- Conduct rigorous in-process quality checks to inspect blister packs for defects, sealing errors, or missing tablets.
- Record production parameters, material usage, and downtime accurately while minimizing waste.
- Perform routine cleaning, lubrication, and basic mechanical troubleshooting of equipment.
- Adhere strictly to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and workplace safety regulations.
- High school diploma or technical certificate; a diploma in engineering or industrial technology is an advantage.
- Minimum of 1 to 3 years of experience operating blister packaging machinery within a pharmaceutical, food, or FMCG environment.
- Solid understanding of pharmaceutical packaging processes and regulatory compliance standards.
- Strong mechanical aptitude with basic troubleshooting skills.
- Exceptional attention to detail and accurate documentation abilities.
- Ability to work rotating shifts, weekends, and overtime as required by production demands.
